Are you looking for any interactive programs for your language learners?
FOCUS arranges global communication events and collaborative learning programs of various purposes and durations.

Example Programs

“I want my students to chat and interact with students in Canada.”

Online Language Exchange】1 hour~
We arrange an online language exchange with students in Canada. Participants are given topics to talk about in advance so that they have enough time to prepare in class before the event. They will be placed in a small breakout room of 3~4 people to chat and discuss topics with their teammates. All participants communicate in Japanese and English, given an opportunity to use their second language. The online event is normally set in the late afternoon on Monday to Friday in PDT/PST, or the morning time on Tuesday to Saturday in Japan.

“I want my students to participate in a collaborative learning over several months with students in Canada.”

【Collaborative Learning Program】2 months~
This is a program where high school or university students in Canada and Japan collaboratively work on the same project in cyberspace online. Each program is composed of a set of synchronous and asynchronous activities over a course of several months, to yield a tangible learning result. All participants communicate in Japanese and English, given an opportunity to use their second language.
Participants should:
have an instructor/teacher in charge,
be over the upper-beginner level in the second language,
be able to synchronously meet up online at the set time (see above).
